We proudly embrace the high qualitative standards and selective breeding  established by the German founding fathers of the Deutsch Drahthaar (DD) over the past 144 years. We breed our Deutsch Drahthaars when it serves to further our ultimate breeding objective. We typically breed just one litter per year.

A DD pup should naturally excel at pointing, retrieving in the field and water, and blood tracking on leash of any wounded big game animal by virtue of its birthright. We focus on disposition, performance, and coat and conformation when making our breeding decisions. We breed our hunting dogs with care, raise our puppies with love and attention in our home. We train the pups with patience, and ultimately proudly hunt our finished companions. It is such a joy to watch our dogs work the bird field. Our primary objective is to breed a hunting dog that is also a family pet, who is intelligent, cooperative, easy to live with, and genetically predisposed to point, retrieve, and track in the field, forest, and in water.  We enjoy hunting and living with our Versatile Deutsch Drahthaar!
